Alia Yachts 60m Samurai showcased at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show

As a private yacht the Alia flagship received little publicity after her launch in 2016. Now available for charter, Samurai’s power and poise wowed for the first time the audience at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Samurai is the stunning result of collaboration between two award

–as well as the expert and awarded construction team at the Alia shipyard in Antalya, Turkey.

"We’ve been sitting on the superyacht industry’s best-kept secret for the last years,” says Alia President Gökhan Çelik. “In terms of overall design and construction quality, Samurai demonstrates what we’re capable of and I’m delighted we finally had this opportunity to show her off to the yachting world”.

The low-rise exterior profile with its bold vertical windows, elegantly arched superstructure and long aft overhangs exudes power and grace. But her sleek lines disguise a high-volume interior of more than 1,000 gross tons, most of which is housed inside the capacious hull.

The main deck provides accommodation for 10 in four guest cabins and a full-beam, forward-facing owner’s suite of 87 sqm. The staterooms, open-plan main salon and dining room benefit from natural light and sea views thanks to the full height windows. A stairway on the aft deck provides direct exterior access to the beach club below.

As well as the wheelhouse and captain’s cabin, the bridge deck provides space for ample alfresco lounging with dining for a full complement of guests, a fifth guest suite, and a panoramic lounge on the open foredeck.

Based on natural materials and neutral tones, the Oriental-style interior design by RWD is tastefully sophisticated but also warm, welcoming and functional. The flow between flexible and airy entertainment areas enhances a kind of loft-living conviviality, while also guaranteeing privacy and intimacy when desired.

With her high volume, generous use of glass and open-plan layout, Samurai blurs the divide between indoor and outdoor living. The yacht boasts multiple options for open-air entertaining, from the extensive sundeck with oversized Jacuzzi and aft deck areas to a forward sunbathing zone and the impressive beach club with gym and fold-down swim
platform. Additional side-boarding provides the perfect launch pad for her two tenders and stable of toys.

Samurai’s visual impact is matched by her performance. Powered by twin MTU 16V4000 M73L engines (2,880kW each), her patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen provides a top speed of 21 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,250nm at economical speed.
