The ever-pioneering Swiss watch manufacturer Alpina, founded in 1883, today unveils the Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre. More technologically advanced than ever before, the brand's first solar-powered watch promises record autonomy. The dream of an outdoor watch that, while exposed to light, is functionally unlimited.
A 10-MONTH
AUTONOMY
Freedom. The Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre breaks free from the shackles limiting conventional movements. As the dial is exposed to natural or artificial light, the battery charges. 10 consecutive months of darkness are needed to empty the battery when full. With the crown pulled out, the autonomy can reach four years.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE
AND ROBUSTNESS
Staying true to the Alpiner Extreme collection's DNA, Alpina honours its signature aesthetic, melding sporty style, technical innovation and unwavering reliability. Durable and equipped for the great outdoors, the Alpiner case houses the AL-140 movement, developed by Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret for Alpina.
UNCOMPROMISED
SIGNATURE AESTHETIC
The technology takes a back seat and the aesthetic shines without compromising efficiency. The surface of the dial is embellished with a fine triangular pattern, in a nod to the brand's historic emblem. It features a date window at 3 o'clock, and the indexes and luminescent hands ensure perfect legibility, day or night.
AN EXTENSIVE
COLLECTION
The dial comes in five tones. Deep burgundy and refreshing mint green versions are offered with a steel bracelet. Three other models come with a textured rubber strap featuring the triangular pattern of the dial. Light and navy blue dials are paired with matching integrated straps. A black strap provides stark contrast against the white dial option.
