ArtyA Butterfly Set Tourbillon 1/1

Diamonds are wrested from the depths of the Earth; majestic, brightly-coloured butterflies fly high above. In between, with its head in the stars and its feet firmly on the ground, ArtyA has captured the essence of both to bring the Butterfly Set Tourbillon to life. This has never been done before in a watch, and Artya has dared to pair this with one of watchmaking’s most traditional complications, it’s own high end flying tourbillon.

The timepieces in the Butterfly collection are unique by nature: each butterfly has lent its finest colours to just one of them. The dials are fully hand-made by Dominique Arpa Cirpka, using a secret process known only to ArtyA – often imitated but to this day, never duplicated. Now, with the Butterfly Set Tourbillon 1/1, ArtyA has gone a step further, adding fully jewelled case & Tourbillon.

 

Clothed with light

To match the dominant colour present on each dial, ArtyA has exercised creative freedom to fashion a very exclusive series of stoneset cases, some fully covered in pavé set style. In addition to top Wesselton VVSI diamonds, the ArtyA cases feature inserts in ArtyOr – the firm’s very own gold alloy. The strap of each watch is also hand-crafted and made-to-measure, showing off each of these Unique Pieces to its best advantage.

“The brilliant composition to be found on a butterfly wing can neither be reproduced nor equalled,” says ArtyA CEO Yvan Arpa. “What we can do is showcase its intrinsic colours and light. And that’s the whole point of this limited edition of jewelled watches. The diamonds set in each case and the gold leaf we’ve slipped in around the wings give each of these Butterflies fresh, unique splendour.”
