Auction Alert : A Decommissioned Oktopus Frogman

Linde Werdelin is delighted to announce its second auction featuring the Oktopus Frogman decommissioned piece n°8 scheduled to run from April 24th to 26th.

The Oktopus Frogman was commissioned in 2014 by Frømandskorpset (the Danish Frogman Corps), the Naval Special Operations Force in the Danish Military (Conventus Ranae).

The resulting Oktopus Frogman is a tribute to this elite group of combat divers. Specifically made for night diving with a brighter lume, the pieces are still being used by the Frogmen today.

Between 140 and 150 were delivered to them, each with an individual number reprinting the Frogman’s official number. For the decommissioned piece on offer, the number has been erased and replaced with a number 8.

The watch has been serviced and bears slight marks of having been used in action over several years.
