Beautiful hand blown glass pendant lights from Hennepin Made

Independent glass design studio, Hennepin Made, presents the Parallel Series, a collection of clean, modern pendant light fixtures made of hand blown glass and spun aluminum.  Familiar, but by no means ordinary, the Parallel Series of pendant lighting fixtures combine exquisite materials with stylish shapes.  They are truly the product of hands-on, expert craftsmanship. 

Hand produced on an artisan scale, each light reflects the quality and commitment of American made artistry and workmanship.  The glass is hand blown in Hennepin's Minneapolis studio and the spun aluminum is sourced from experienced local craftsmen. 

The components then are hand-fitted to create a truly beautiful light that can be used anywhere.

Shapes and colors

The Parallel Series shapes range from traditional cylinders, spheres, and canisters to more avant-garde teardrops and orbs.

 

The lower hand blown glass portion is offered in seven colors including tea, smoke, sapphire, ruby, olive, crystal, and bronze; while the spun aluminum top comes in either champagne or dark bronze.  

 

The result is a rich complementary duo of spun aluminum and hand blown glass in one form. This combination gives the lights a striking tension, yet the materials have a cooperative unison in a pleasing way. Half dark, half-light, the color of the illuminated glass travels inside the aluminum top filling it with a glowing timelessness.  With the options of vibrant colors, subtle tones, and flowing shapes, these handcrafted lights complement modern or traditional décor; making a bold statement or quietly bringing together any space.
