Looking for the perfect and convenient cocktail to sip this summer? Look no further. The folks at Dry Fly are kicking it old school with the classic Greyhound. This cocktail is the latest in their popular line of “On the Fly” canned cocktails and it will hit stores in May.
“I think the main reason for the success of our canned cocktails is the premium ingredients,” said Head Distiller Patrick Donovan. “We only use the finest fruit juices, syrups and spices in all our cocktails, along with our award-winning gin or vodka. The Greyhound will feature our gin and some fantastic grapefruit juice. It is the perfect summer refresher.”
The Greyhound gained popularity in the 1940’s after being featured in Harper’s Magazine. It gets its name from the “Post House” restaurant which was located in Greyhound bus station terminals. The drink became a favorite of bus travelers and is considered a classic today.
“On the Fly” cocktails were launched 2019 and met with rave reviews. Currently there are 6 cocktails available—Gin & Tonic, Moscow Mule, Spicy Lemonade, Huckleberry Lemonade, Bloody Mary and now the Greyhound. The cocktails are available in four packs and sell for approximately $12.99 each. There are also plans to add new cocktails to the lineup over time.
