Swiss watch manufacturer, Ernst Benz, is proud to announce the launch of a special edition Oak Hill Country Club timepiece through an exclusive partnership with renowned Swiss watch expert Al Armstrong in support of the Western Golf Association Evans Scholarship Foundation (WGA ESF).

The timepiece is a special edition built to commemorate the club and its history. A portion of every watch purchased by members and friends supports the Evans Scholarship Foundation, with the initial donation exceeding expectations for the first year.

The automatic Swiss watch is available in white and green dials and a mother-of-pearl dial option, each customized to members' preferences with the choice of a leather watch strap and other details. The signature version is adorned with the club logo, an homage to both the West and East courses as well as Rochester, NY, and 1901 (the club's founding date). The exhibition back features the automatic self-winding rotor engraved with the Oak Hill CC logo, and the case back of the ChronoScope is inscribed with the major tournaments Oak Hill has hosted through the years and is individually numbered.

Leonid Khankin, CEO of Ernst Benz, says, "We are both honored and excited to partner with Oak Hill on this unique, custom, one-of-a-kind member watch program." When we learned about the club's support of the WGA Evans Scholarship Foundation, we realized this collaboration has a larger purpose and were even more inclined to be able to participate. Working to help support those who need it most is an essential part of the work and philosophy at Ernst Benz. We are pleased with the initial donation and look forward to continuing our efforts and maximizing our results over time together."

Inspired by the spirit of travel and the art of watchmaking, Ernst Benz watches are designed and manufactured in the traditional Swiss manner. Surpassing quality standards typical of equipment designed for professional aviators, the Great Circle collection is renowned for its accuracy, durability, and legibility. Ernst Benz exemplifies their slogan, ‘Precision Instruments For Timekeeping’ continuing to develop and manufacture timepieces made in the time-honored tradition of aviation timekeepers and the fine art of watchmaking.

Founded in 1901 by twenty-five of the leading business and professional leaders in Rochester, Oak Hill was originally a 9-hole layout on 85 acres along the banks of the Genesee River.  In 1921, the University of Rochester proposed a land swap, and Oak Hill moved to its current location, a 355-acre plot in Pittsford.

After hosting the 2008 Senior PGA Championship, Oak Hill became the first Club in the United States to host the six men’s rotating major events – the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open, the PGA and Senior PGA Championships, and the Ryder Cup.
