Jack Daniel’s Introduces New Bottled-in-Bond Rye Whiskey as the Latest Addition to its Bonded Series

Jack Daniel’s unveils its new Bonded Rye Whiskey as the latest addition to its Bonded Series, a line of innovative expressions that honours the distillery’s heritage of whiskey-making excellence. 

Launching 25th March, Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye is a Tennessee Rye Whiskey bottled at 100 proof (50% alc. by vol.), and is the first rye whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery with the Bottled-in-Bond designation.

The new Bonded Rye Whiskey has a grain bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley and is charcoal mellowed before aging in new, handmade American white oak barrels. The whiskey comprises notes of sweet dried fruit, followed by hints of toffee and caramel to provide a bold, complex, and balanced taste with a rye spice finish.

As outlined by the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, a bonded whiskey must be distilled by a single distiller during a single season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof. As a bottled-in-bond whiskey, Bonded Rye is revered for its unparalleled quality, embodying strict production standards and a rich heritage that ensures each sip delivers exceptional taste and consistency.

Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller, states: “Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye Whiskey is made to the highest quality in the Jack Daniel Distillery, as we’ve worked to refine and master every step of the process. With packaging inspired by the original design of the 1895 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottle, Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye will be available in 70cl bottles across the UK. The new Bonded Rye Whiskey will be available from The Whiskey Exchange, Hard to Find Whisky, Master of Malt and Amazon, retailing at £42.
