Barbour jackets, Red Wing boots and Land Rovers. Olive green and other earth tones. Such were the Pantone leaves on the table in front of Morten Linde and Kristian Haagen when Linde Werdelin asked the long-time fan of the brand to create a timepiece with them.

Having bought his first Linde Werdelin in 2007 and a current owner of no less than four Linde Werdelin watches, Haagen is no stranger to great horology.

“It was a huge and very unexpected honour when Morten and Jørn asked if I wanted to do a watch with them,” says Haagen. “And when choosing which model we should do, it was very easy to choose “the one that got away”, so to say, the illustrious 3 Timer,” Haagen says.

Linde Werdelin launched the original 3 Timer in 2009; however, in such small quantities that all were sold out when Haagen wanted to purchase this watch.

“Relaunching this cosmopolite darling and in “my colours” made me very happy and proud,” Haagen smiles.

Haagen’s attire inspired Morten, and together, they found the right olive colour for the dial and the matching textile-printed calfskin strap.

Limited to only 33 pieces, the 3 Timer Haagen Edition was launched in 2017, inspiring several other 3 Timer relaunches. Most recently, the Sunset collection, which incidentally also marks the end of this collection.
