Lime and Leaf, a new line of high-quality home décor based in Alexandria, VA, launches today with the opening of its online store. Inspired by the unique colors and patterns that exist only in nature, the company's handcrafted, American-made textiles are designed to encourage the calm of the outdoors inside the home. Founded by two sisters, Lori Morris and Kari LePage realized that there was no perfect product at the intersection of their two loves – nature and home décor – so they decided to create their own.

As early as initial company brainstorms, Lime and Leaf committed to sourcing material and manufacturing in America for the production of its original designs. From factory floors in North Carolina to embroidery shops in New Jersey and cotton farms in California, the company's production supply chain highlights the best of what American manufacturers offer. Lime and Leaf's sheets, duvets, shams and throws are 100% American-made, with bedding fabricated from the highest quality Supima cotton and a unique garment dying process that results in a soft, pre-washed feel.

Beyond bedding, Lime and Leaf offers a number of other distinctive products and accessories including patterned pillows, vases, picture frames, and decorative tabletop accessories. Pricing ranges from $198 to $228 for sheet sets and duvet covers. Pillows and table linens are priced between $48 and $68

"We've traveled across the country getting to know the manufacturers and artisans who are working to create our products. This isn't a nameless, faceless operation. It's personal to everyone who is involved, from the production team to the designers and hopefully, to our customers," said Lime and Leaf co-founder Kari LePage.

Placing themselves in the position of potential customers, LePage and Morris developed the product line and an online shopping experience that is simple and user-friendly. A helpful drag-and-drop design tool allows customers to mix and match decorative pillows on a sofa, while small details such as hidden ties, custom bags and easy-to-read labels make using and storing linens effortless.

"By hand-selecting materials and establishing direct relationships with our vendors, we maintain control over quality, from the farm to the bed," said Lori Morris, co-founder of Lime and Leaf. "Our commitment to sourcing materials and producing merchandise in America has been mirrored by the pride with which the people we've met do their work, and we believe it absolutely shows in the end result," continued Morris.

LePage, a Rutgers College and Stern School of Business graduate is an independent consultant in the field of retail strategy. Prior to that, LePage spent over seven years as the GVP of Strategy and Consumer Insights for The Children's Place and Disney Stores, worked for eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting and started her retail career in the strategy department at Gap, Inc. Morris, has a Master's in Education from George Washington University (GWU). With over 15 years of experience in early childhood learning, Morris is president of the Bruhn-Morris Family Foundation, established in February of 2003, to support programs focusing on youth and family.
