This year, Breguet is celebrating Valentine’s Day around the world by introducing a limited edition 14-piece Classique watch series decorated with the elegant splendor of love.
The daintily round Classique Phase de Lune Dame joined the Breguet collection in 2016. For Valentine’s Day 2018, the House is revisiting this exquisite model now attired in pink. The bezel of this 30 mm-diameter white gold timepieces is adorned with subtly graded shades of diamonds and pink sapphires, while the lugs are graced with a setting of pink sapphires at 6 o’clock and diamonds at 12 o’clock. The satin-finished alligator leather strap also appears in graded shades of pink. This delicate hue imbues the model with a softness and lightness reflected in the mother-of-pearl dial, whose white tones and iridescent shimmer endow it with cloud-like beauty. This resolutely romantic Classique 9085 naturally welcomes a moon phase appearing at 6 o’clock against a lacquered pink backdrop and periodically hidden from sight behind a pink mother-of-pearl heart. These exclusive attributes highlight the Breguet aesthetic hallmarks that are particularly identifiable on the models in the Classique collection. This special Valentine’s Day edition thus naturally features a finely fluted caseband, Breguet open-tipped hands in blued steel and an individual number.
The Classique Phase de Lune Dame 9085 is driven by mechanical self-winding Calibre 537L, which has long since proven its worth in terms of both reliability and precision. Meticulously hand-finished like all Breguet movements, it is fitted with bridges bearing a Côtes de Genève pattern, while its oscillating weight is adorned with a barleycorn guilloché motif.
