Start a Claim

First, you’ll want to start a claim by visiting the UPS.com site and logging in.

You can use your regular login credentials (your email address and password) to get started.

If you don’t already have a UPS account, you’ll want to set one up.

If you do already have a UPS account, you’ll want to log in and go to your “My Account” page.

Provide Shipping Information

Once you’re logged in to your account, you’ll want to enter your shipping information.

If you’re using a tracking number, enter that into the appropriate box.

You’ll also want to enter the package’s origin and destination addresses.

Keep in mind that this is the information that UPS will need in order to be able to track your package.

Prove Who You Are

Next, you’ll want to provide some sort of proof that you are, in fact, the owner of the package.

This is important because UPS is required to make a “reasonable effort” to find your package if they do end up losing it.

So, you’ll want to prove to them that you are the owner of the package.

You can do this by providing a copy of your driver’s license or other photo ID.

Submit Your Claim

Now, you’ll want to submit your claim.

To do this, click on the “File a Claim” button on the top of the page.

The next page will allow you to provide additional information that UPS will need in order to be able to process your claim.

How Long Does the Claim Process Take?

In addition to being able to track your package, UPS is required to respond to you within five business days.

That means that if you file a claim within that five-day window, they should be able to respond to you within a couple of days.
