New Ultima 55 Performance Catamaran By Sunreef Making European Debut At Cannes Yachting Festival

Sunreef is showcasing its hotly anticipated Ultima 55 for the first time in Europe at the Cannes Yachting Festival. It is the debut model of Sunreef’s new performance catamaran line and represents the first step in an exciting new direction, developing a more contemporary, aggressive look with 36-knot top speeds for maximum fun.

At its global premiere, the yacht was one of the undoubted stars of the Dubai International Boat Show, attracting members of the Emirati royal family. It has had a rapturous welcome from the yachting world, with a further seven boats in build and a further four on order.

“We listened to our clients, and the feedback was clear,” said Sunreef founder and CEO, Francis Lapp. “There is still huge enthusiasm for our sustainable, solar-powered luxury catamarans, but some of our owners were requesting a smaller, faster and nimbler take on the genre. This is the Ultima line, and we are delighted to see such strong interest following the launch of the Ultima 55, with the 16th boat now on order.”
