The first thing a newbie imagines when hearing about knight harness is heavy, cold steel, like in medieval movies. In reality, modern LARP knight armor is often made from completely different materials, and there are good reasons for this.

Steel, leather, and polyurethane — three completely different approaches to the same task. What each day of the festival will be like is up to you. Of course, price is not the only factor in materials. It's about durability, comfort, and how long the armor lasts before it needs repair.

 

Steel: A Classic That Demands Respect

Steel remains the benchmark for historical accuracy. It looks real, sounds real, and weighs real — sometimes over 15 kilograms for a full suit.
