Since the earliest days of Linde Werdelin, we have worked closely with our customers to develop special customised pieces.
This pièce unique, a SpideSpeed titanium with pink details, was requested by one of our good friends and long-time clients. The sunset pink shade matches one of his racing bikes, and the result is striking.
The SpidoSpeed is crafted with titanium grade 5 case and a 12-hour integrated chronograph complication with a Sunset pink customisation on the hands, indices, lume and rubber strap. The bespoke pink sunset strap was developed to match the case.
We had a chat with our client Bogdan about the history of his relationship with LW and his latest special piece.
How did you first encounter our brand?
Watches have always been a passion since I was a child. I am a collector of Rolex, Richard Milles and AP’s. I started buying Linde Werdelin’s seven years ago. I was introduced by Watch Anish on Instagram, particularly when the Oktopus Tattoo came out and I started researching Linde Werdelin. You were the first brand doing colourful rubber straps, the others followed after.
I wanted a sporty watch with durability and comfort; I do a lot of road cycling and wanted a unique and tough piece that would handle all conditions.
How did you acquire your first piece?
I met Jorn and Morten in Geneva at a watch fair, and the LW was the only piece I ended up buying on that trip - the Oktopus 3DTP carbon, which I immediately took to Chamonix to ski with. I have eight Linde Werdelin’s now!
How did the customised piece come about?
Every year I buy a new Pinarello bike and this year it was pink. You had customised an orange piece for me a couple of years ago, so I knew it would be done well. Next year, we will have to see the new Pinarello colour...
