"We are excited to bring La Caravedo Torontel to the US market and join our growing portfolio.  We are also thrilled to have been recognized by the SF World Spirits Competition as the #1 unaged white spirit of 2016", says Brent Kallop, President of Pisco Portón, LLC.  "All of the piscos that we produce provide their own unique impact in a cocktail and all have been recognized with exceptional awards.  With the demand for high quality pisco increasing and the category growing in the US, we are proud to offer an exceptional portfolio."

La Caravedo Torontel is a pisco puro, which means it is made from a single varietal of the eight grape varietals allowed by Peruvian law to make pisco. La Caravedo Torontel is made from the torontel grape, which is an aromatic varietal that evolved on the Peruvian coast and provides a strong floral bouquet and velvety texture.

La Caravedo Torontel brings bright, delicate flavors, rich texture, and a heady aromatic experience to a cocktail.  It is distilled in Hacienda La Caravedo's original falca stills, and there are 8 pounds of grapes in every bottle.

"We are honored to be recognized by the 2016 SF World Spirits Competition and to share the heritage of our native spirit and the tradition of Hacienda La Caravedo. La Caravedo Torontel's versatility and notes of rose, gardenia, and violet bring a unique and exciting flavor to any cocktail," says Master Distiller Johnny Schuler.
