Yacht owner Claudia Potamkin and Captain Sandra Yawn are pleased to announce that their highly anticipated series of 47' motor yachts are ready for purchase. Their brand new series of custom cruisers, being unveiled at the San Diego boat show, will be available in two different designs with optional retractable hard top, multiple layout and feature options and custom designed color choices. As captain and owner, Yawn and Potamkin have combined their knowledge and experience to forge a bond between technological excellence, luxury features, ease of ownership and a built in philanthropic upside.
- REVL Yachts (formerly WOW Yachts) launched in February 2016.The name REVL Yachts hit a chord with the two. It rejoices in the spirit of "Iconic Americana". Inspired by the small cities, port towns, marinas and waterways that Potamkin and Yawn have cruised during their "Global Oceans, Inc." years of chartering, they decided they wanted to pay tribute to the heart of America for the identity of their new brand.
- Designed, engineered and built in America, REVL Yachts takes pride in the craftsmanship and teamwork that was born and raised with the values they term Iconic Americana. "We have both spent significant time traveling abroad and while we appreciate the rich qualities of the amazing world we live in, we continually come back to the reasons we feel so fortunate to live in America, where the creative process is so alive and all things are possible," says Potamkin.
The two chose Setzer Yacht Architects to design the REVL 47. With a fleet of more than seventy yachts on the water, Ward Setzer's portfolio boasts more than 7,500 linear feet of waterline, including award-winning collaborations with such important shipyards as Delta Marine, Northern Marine, Christensen, Richmond Yachts, McMullen & Wing, Lyman-Morse, Trinity Yachts, The Hinckley Company and NISI Yachts, and Now …REVL Yachts.
They have enlisted world renowned interior designer James Kieran Pine for creative direction and interior finishes, and "Yacht Imagineers" has been brought on board to to collaborate on the stellar branding and marketing plan.
As a mega yacht captain, Yawn has witnessed hundreds of guests' experiences first hand. "With our combined expertise we could identify the features and functions owners and guests wished for. We want to improve the experience of both owning and operating. With the purchase of one of our yachts, buyers will receive a one on one training course in the online boating safety course offered by their own flag state and enjoy a managed maintenance program," says Yawn.
"With a top speed of 40 knots, the latest technology and the simple push or twist of the joystick, any person can easily operate this extraordinary vessel."
"We want people to enjoy a yachting experience that is über chic, hassle free and built on a standard of excellence and reliability. Getting people out on the water, especially those who believe yacht ownership is out of their comfort zone was a primary goal," says Potamkin.
"A rewarding collaboration with the International Seakeepers Society prompted us to work in a philanthropic component to the purchase of a REVL Yacht," says Potamkin. Owners will automatically become members to the Seakkeeper Society, enjoying all of the privileges therein, and be able to conduct their own bespoke ocean advocacy and research missions in partnership with the Seakeepers Society, who will plan and carry out the missions. The level of REVL Yacht owner involvement is completely up to them.
Welcome one and all, and join the REVL-ution.
