TRICK 3D Founder and Filmmaker Launches First Cloud-Based Virtual Reality Product for Real Estate

TRICK 3D, an Atlanta-based content studio specializing in virtual reality (VR) and 3D animation, today announced the launch of Floorplan Revolution, the first cloud-based real estate visualization solution of its kind. Floorplan Revolution allows multi-family developers to turn 2D floor plans into fully navigable virtual homes, enabling buyers and renters to preview housing options before the development of a physical space.

In its May 11, 2016 profile of TRICK3D, Fast Company stated, “Custom housing floor plans are coming to virtual reality, and getting a look at what a new apartment could look like has never been easier.” Without the need to purchase hardware or software, Floorplan Revolution users can virtually tour life-like 3D homes on any device, including PCs, tablets, smart phones and VR headsets. Floorplan Revolution provides the ability to toggle between furnished and unfurnished homes, as well as daytime and nighttime views, and offers a measurement feature to help visualize the placement of belongings. The assets can also be built out as VR apps for Samsung’s Gear VR and Google Cardboard.

“To date, residential real estate developers have not had a way to market pre-build apartments and condos easily and affordably other than to provide static 2D floor plans and a few expensive still image renderings,” said Chad Eikhoff, founder of TRICK 3D. “Floorplan Revolution will accelerate VR adoption in the real estate sector thanks to affordability and ease of use; the product is set to revolutionize how multi-family real estate developers sell homes. For the first time, buyers and renters can fully experience a space long before the development breaks ground.”

Multi-family housing developers and marketers can easily upload 2D floor plans to Floorplan Revolution, select home features and design looks, and in as little as 48 hours, receive ready-to-use links to virtual show homes. TRICK 3D produces and hosts 3D floor plans for a flat rate per floor plan – through March 2016 the special launch price is $950 per floor plan.

TRICK 3D is launching Floorplan Revolution at SXSW Interactive, the technology portion of South by Southwest 2016 (SXSW), exhibiting Sunday, March 13 in the tradeshow’s Startup Central - #1551.

The company will provide live virtual reality demos of Floorplan Revolution at the booth throughout the day. TRICK 3D will also raffle off a Samsung Gear VR headset to a winning SXSW attendee who posts a picture with both of the hashtags #FloorplanRev and #SXSW.
