You have already understood that smoking is a very unprofitable habit concerning your wallet and health. But from the moment this idea was adopted, weeks and months passed, but you continued to smoke. You can continue to train your willpower, or you can use an electronic cigarette and try an alternative way! The good news is that the majority of heavy smokers, after switching to e-cigarettes, completely abandoned traditional cigarettes, and over time completely switched to a liquid without nicotine, thus achieving their cherished goal. But before you start using such electronic devices, you will have to face the problem of choosing the right one. The modern assortment of vape kits is extensive, and they all differ in characteristics, configuration, appearance, size, and price.

Why is an electronic cigarette better than a regular one?

  1. Less harm to health. The liquid for smoking used in e-cigarettes contains only one harmful substance - nicotine. The rest of the additives (polyethylene glycol and glycerin) are safe for human health.

  2. Less money spending. Liquid for refueling cigarettes and the e-cigarette itself will cost you several times cheaper than regular cigarettes. The average life of one electronic cigarette is a year of time: during its use, it will repeatedly pay for itself.

  3. No harm to others. The vapor produced by an e-cigarette contains much less nicotine than the smoke from a regular cigarette. According to the research results, it is 60 times less. That is, colleagues at work or your family will not suffer from secondhand smoke.

The process of quitting conventional cigarettes is a three-step process.

Stage 1 - smooth transition

The stage lasts 7-14 days, and its goal is to replace conventional cigarettes with electronic ones. The main task is to move away from traditional cigarettes. In the first 7-14 days, smokers still use cigarettes, but this should be done as little as possible. During a smooth transition, limiting contact with people who smoke is advisable.

The e-cigarette may not provide the nicotine saturation to which the body is accustomed. Therefore, it is permissible to smoke 1-2 cigarettes a day during these two weeks to make the transition easier.

Stage 2 - complete transition

On average, the stage lasts a month, and its task is to abandon cigarettes completely. It is still permissible to use tobacco-flavored liquids for the first week and a half. Then you need to leave them and switch to fruity aromas. Here you can no longer give yourself indulgences and be allowed to smoke one or two cigarettes per week.

Stage 3 - quitting nicotine

The duration of the stage is individual. Its main task is to give up nicotine altogether and then move away from using vapes. First, you need to reduce the nicotine content of vaping liquids gradually. Alternatively, you can mix nicotine and nicotine-free liquids and then switch only to the use of nicotine-free ones. Nicotine cravings will begin to subside, and at some point, you will feel that there is no longer a need for e-cigarettes.
