Veteran-Founded Heroes Vodka to Honor Heroes Nationwide

Heroes Vodka, a U.S.-crafted, veteran-founded vodka recognized as the "official spirit of a grateful nation," is proud to introduce "The Legacy Project." This initiative, the first by the brand, is set to illuminate the profound impact of everyday heroes nationwide; it's a celebration of those who often go unrecognized: the military service members sacrificing for our country, first responders saving lives, healthcare workers bringing healing and hope, teachers who spark curiosity and growth in young minds and leaders creating change in their communities.

Heroes Vodka, the four-times distilled vodka made from 100% American corn grain, has a storied tradition of giving back, starting with founder Travis McVey. McVey, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, founded Heroes Vodka to show respect to fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price. A portion of every bottle of Heroes vodka sold gives back to local and national veteran organizations. Now, over 15 years since the vodka was first released on 11.11.11, Heroes Vodka is expanding its giveback and introducing "The Legacy Project," which invites communities to nominate anyone who embodies courage, service and impact. The selected hero will not only have their inspiring story and photo featured on a limited-edition bottle, but they will also choose a charity to receive a portion of the bottle's sales, ensuring their legacy of compassion and resilience inspires continued positive change.

Nominations for "The Legacy Project" must be submitted through the official entry platform linked HERE between May 5 and Aug. 4, 2025. Required submission materials to nominate a hero—self-submission included—and campaign eligibility rules will include but are not limited to:

  1. A short video message sharing why the nominee is a hero
  2. The hero's full name, occupation and location
  3. A short story written about the hero's impact on the community and why they are a hero; this information can be entered for consideration HERE

Nominees must also be living, over 21 years old and U.S. residents. No purchase is necessary to enter or win; duplicate entries will not increase the chances of selection.

This year's "Legacy Project" winner will be announced at a finalists' banquet on Nov. 10, 2025, leading up to Veterans Day.
