Caterham will showcase both of its fully electric concept vehicles – Project V and EV Seven – as each make their public debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the brand is set to have its biggest year at the show yet.

EV Seven is the brand’s technology development concept that trials cutting-edge battery electric technology in a modified Seven 485 chassis. Project V is a fully-electric sports coupé concept that showcases an all-new design language created by Chief Designer Anthony Jannarelly. The show car has been built by world-renowned Italian engineering firm, Italdesign located in Turin.

In addition, Caterham will display cars from its current line-up, including the Seven 420 CUP and the Super Seven 600.

Also making its debut is Caterham’s 50th anniversary watch – the VERTEX MP45 C50. Created by the sponsor of the Vertex Roadsport Championship, it will be displayed on the Caterham stand and features a bespoke Tachymeter Timing Dial that enables users to measure speed based on time elapsed over a fixed distance.

Crafted with the utmost precision, the dial features a unique design that reflects motorsport heritage whilst showcasing the Caterham 50th anniversary emblem. Production of the watch is limited to just 50 examples and it is priced at £3,450. Interested customers will have the opportunity to complete an Expression of Interest on the stand in order to be kept informed when online ordering commences.

Bob Laishley, CEO of Caterham, said: “This year’s Festival of Speed will be hugely exciting for Caterham because it’s the first time that Project V and EV Seven will be seen by the general public.

“We’ll also be celebrating our 50 years of the brand with the display of models from our existing line-up, and our stunning 50th Anniversary watch created by this year’s Roadsport Championship sponsor, VERTEX Watches.”

Caterham will launch its new range of 50th anniversary merchandise at the show, which includes caps, t-shirts and other items and will be available to purchase from the stand. It will also preview its all-new general range of merchandise.

This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place this week from 13th to 16th July.
