Get ready to savor a new kind of cuisine that's both exciting and sustainable! Silks Hotel Group has teamed up with Michelin Green Star restaurant, Little Tree Food, to launch their latest venture called "Plant-Based Cuisine." This collaboration is a response to the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as it fulfills the responsibility of improving meal content to sustain our planet. The cuisine's main goal is to provide guests with even more healthy and sustainable meal options, paving the way towards a healthier and more sustainable future.

The first wave of this exciting collaboration introduces an "all plant-based" breakfast, brunch, and drinks at four SHG hotels - Regent Taipei, Silks Place Tainan, Silks Place Taroko, and Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi. Little Tree Food's sustainable initiatives and locally sourced ingredients have first earned them recognition in the Taipei & Taichung Michelin Guide in 2021, and in 2022 they were awarded the prestigious "Michelin Green Star" for their efforts in promoting sustainability. The culinary teams from each hotel have worked closely with Little Tree Food to create an array of plant-based dishes, promising guests an unforgettable and sustainable dining experience.

Led by Executive Chef Xu Zhao-Lin of Little Tree Food and the Regent Taipei culinary team, the second-floor Gallery Lounge of Regent Taipei is set to launch an "all plant-based brunch" featuring four main dishes, each with a complimentary limited-edition drink and all-you-can-eat buffet salad bar. The menu is packed with tasty options, including the highly recommended "Glow Bowl" with konjac and tofu boiled in beetroot juice, served with Japanese soy sauce, edamame, avocado, vinegar rice, and more. The "Marvelous Burrito" is another must-try dish, containing scrambled eggs, mushrooms, cheese, avocado, fried sweet potatoes, and more, wrapped in a tortilla and pan-fried for a crispy texture. For a unique blend of flavors, try the "Energy Booster Taco Bowl" with romaine salad, chickpeas, sweet corn, corn chips, sour cream, and avocado. Or indulge in the chef's recommended "Pad Krapow Tempeh and Mushroom Buddha Bowl", a delectable dish served on crispy-fried tempeh seasoned with Thai-style stir-fry sauce, shiitake65 mushrooms, micro greens, and a soft-boiled egg. Each main course comes with a complimentary beverage like the limited-edition "Virgin Mary" or "Orange & Basil Fresh Juice", or a glass of fresh juice. These staple dishes are priced starting at $1,080 NTD each and available for a limited time only. In addition, to celebrate Mother's Day, Silks Club APP members can enjoy a special $100 NTD off discount when ordering any main dish from May 1st to May 31st.

At Silks Place Tainan, chefs have skillfully integrated plant-based ingredients with local cuisine to offer an innovative and refreshing culinary experience. Their nu features a colorful array of nutrient-rich greens paired with distinctive local ingredients such as water chestnuts, dried fruit, and juicy bayberries. The signature salad dressing combines the flavors of fresh mango, fragrant mint, and a creamy cucumber yogurt sauce for a delicious finishing touch.

Silks Place Taroko has expanded its breakfast buffet options to include several organic and locally-grown vegetables. The selection features organic buckwheat sprouts, red oak lettuce, green butter lettuce, and other fruit and vegetable salads. In addition, the hotel has sourced bitter gourd and hibiscus from Hualien to add to the menu. The hotel has also replaced some ingredients in the "Glow Bowl" with locally-sourced ingredients such as Gian sweet corn, Dongsheng pumpkin, Shoufeng cucumber, and indigenous wild vegetables, adding a distinct local flare to the dining experience.

Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi, located in the renowned hot spring town of northern Taiwan, has infused its breakfast menu with an assortment of hot spring vegetables and fruits. The Japanese-style light breakfast boasts seasonal delicacies like hot spring bamboo shoots, Yilan Zhuangwei chestnuts, pumpkin, and a variety of nutritious greens. The meal is accompanied by three unique sauces crafted by the chef of Little Tree Food, including ginger white wine vinegar sauce, tamarind flax sauce, and mint cucumber yogurt sauce to elevate the overall flavor.

Silks Hotel Group and Little Tree Food's collaboration brings together their shared commitment to sustainability, and this plant-based cuisine project is just the beginning. Join us in this joint effort to fulfill corporate social responsibility and promote sustainable development goals (SDGs). By ensuring and promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being for all ages, promoting a green economy and sustainable consumption and production patterns, and establishing diverse partnerships to promote sustainable development, we hope that consumers who enjoy plant-based cuisine can understand the benefits of sustainable eating for the environment and their own health.
