Crocodile Bay plays a large hand in community job creation through eco-tourism and is dedicated to a multi-tiered conservation program to preserve the region. In addition to being founding members of the Osa recycling cooperative, the team has devoted efforts to sea turtle conservation since the project's inception in 2005. Nature enthusiasts and adventure travelers alike can trust the Crocodile Bay team as eco-experts in navigating other world-renowned sites in the Osa Peninsula, including Corcovado National Park and Drake Bay.

Atencio says his most adventurous tour is a full day expedition to Corcovado National Park – home to 2.5% of the world's biodiversity. He says, "In Corcovado, our guests experience the wonder of primary rainforest, and may glimpse anteaters, sloths, various types of monkeys, the rare Baird's tapir – even pumas or jaguars!" Other experiences include a sea turtle rescue tour, a chocolate farm tour, kayaking through mangroves, and cross-country biking. Boating, swimming, snorkeling, seasonal humpback whale watching, and surfing at the spot called Pavones – known as one of the longest lefts in the world – are all possible in the adjacent Golfo Dulce, one of the world's only tropical fjords. It's possible to spot more than 33 different types of indigenous birds within a one-mile radius, and on the grounds of the resort, the Jungle Night Walk tour is another fascinating way to see red-eyed tree frogs, granular poison dart frogs and other amphibians, exotic insects, night birds, caimans, snakes and other reptiles.

With the possibility of so many distinctive wildlife sightings, the resort offers photography retreats led by expert nature and wildlife photographers.
