A new collaboration between automotive and yacht design transforms Garage Italia’s iconic car into a yacht toy designed to integrate into Hot Lab’s yacht projects

Garage Italia, a creative hub specializing in bespoke design, once again reinterprets the Spiaggina, transforming it into an object capable of engaging with a new design universe thanks to its collaboration with international award-winning yacht design studio Hot Lab, part of the Viken Group. The result is a Spiaggina conceived not simply as a car, but as an extension of the aesthetic language of a boat.

The collaboration between Garage Italia and Hot Lab stems from the meeting of two seemingly distant worlds, united by the same vision of design: customization as a tool for creating identity, and attention to detail as an essential element of the project. Garage Italia reinterprets an automotive icon through unique materials and craftsmanship; Hot Lab applies to yacht design an approach based on the integration of form, function and design coherence. From this dialogue comes a Spiaggina configuration specifically developed to become part of the studio's yacht projects as a yacht toy.

The marine character of the new configuration emerges first and foremost from the livery, which introduces a precise visual division of the bodywork: the car is ideally “split along the waterline,” creating a direct reference to the separation between the hull and the surface of the sea.

Among the distinctive elements of the new configuration is the wooden Heritage Tunnel, inspired by vintage speedboats. In addition to recalling Italian nautical tradition, the tunnel incorporates a practical function: at the rear, it features magazine racks and can optionally be completed with a bottle holder made of leather straps and a metal base.
