Montcalm Mayfair promises to be a standout addition to London’s vibrant dining scene when it opens on 1st April 2025. The culinary offering at the five-star boutique property, Montcalm Collection’s luxury flagship, includes the elegant all-day brasserie, vibrant destination bar, refined private dining, and the Grand Ballroom.
Lilli by Akira Back, Montcalm Mayfair’s signature restaurant, takes centre stage promising an exceptional menu that combines seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with dishes curated by world-renowned, Michelin-starred chef Akira Back, celebrating his diverse culinary repertoire; honouring his Korean heritage and dynamic creative flair, with an enticing menu that features modern interpretations of classic British dishes.
Set in an opulent yet inviting space, the restaurant offers a refined dining experience, designed to complement the hotel’s residential setting. Interiors blend the historical charm of Georgian architecture and contemporary, handcrafted furnishings in organic materials, with a centrepiece chandelier designed to enhance the palette of warm greens and natural tones.
Working alongside Chef Akira, Montcalm Mayfair’s Executive Chef, John Stawicki, will ensure that guests experience exceptional dining.
A key feature of the destination bar menu is the innovative cocktail list, which takes guests on a journey through England's’ Georgian gardens, with flavours that pay homage to English horticulture with an Asian influence. From the sensitive botanical balance of the Rose Negroni, combining the elegance of Japanese Sakura and British rose essence, to the alcohol-free, refreshing Summer Solstice, a radiant blend of spice and citrus inspired by sun-drenched orchards and the warmth of the tropics.
The space features a dramatic ceiling mural inspired by flora and hand-painted by Will Foster; a playful, ethereal garden dancing across the expansive ceiling. A striking illuminated, curved, fluted glass gantry provides a focal point at the heart of the restaurant, with bespoke chandeliers creating an evolving atmosphere, from morning light to evening ambiance.
The intimate and elegantly designed private dining room, Bloom, offers a serene retreat inspired by the vibrancy of a flourishing garden. Reflecting themes of growth and natural beauty, Bloom provides a private setting for intimate gatherings, celebrations, and meetings of up to 14 guests. The space seamlessly blends organic textures with thoughtfully curated art and décor, including a striking centrepiece, ‘An Orange Tree,’ a vibrant gardenscape by UK-based artist Lilia Orlova-Holmes, rich with symbolic references; wealth, optimism, happiness, strength, and stability. Above, a hand-painted ceiling mural by Camille Rousseau further enhances the ambiance with intricate botanical artistry.
The 400 sqm Grand Ballroom, with its own private entrance, is a contemporary space for noteworthy events, accommodating up to 350 dinner guests.
Montcalm Mayfair’s breakfast menu features unique and exciting flavours, offering a fresh take on morning dining. A seasonal tasting chefs menu, and a botanically-inspired afternoon tea will debut later in the year.
Samantha van Exter, Head of Hotels at Montcalm Collection, commented: “At Montcalm Mayfair, we have crafted a dining experience where innovation and artistry can be enjoyed by both Londoners and our international guests.
