Maserati demonstrates its commitment to the Canadian marketplace with an impressive array of its bold, signature sounding sport models on prominent display at this year's Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS).
In 2015, Maserati established a direct presence in Canada with a newly formed entity, Maserati Canada Inc. With this move, the company better positions itself to best serve local partners and customers in the region, advancing to become a genuine automotive player across Canada. With the winning combination of Maserati's quintessential drive, high performance, customization, signature sounding engine and superior handling in all weather conditions, Maserati is quickly becoming a well suited option for Canadian consumers.
Maserati surpassed 500 retail sales at the close of 2015, a new record across Canada. The brand has maintained solid sales momentum since 2013 following the powerful entrée into the High-E segment with its competitively priced Ghibli starting at $83,900 CAD. The all wheel drive Ghibli S Q4 sport sedan (MSRP $92,950 CAD) and the flagship Quattroporte S Q4 executive sports sedan (MSRP $121,400 CAD), both equipped with four wheel drive (Q4) technology are also gaining traction in the region.
At CIAS, Maserati will debut its latest novelty, now available on its 2016 high performance sport sedans - custom silk interiors fashioned by Ermenegildo Zegna within the Auto Exotica exhibit. Designed in collaboration with the legendary Italian fashion brand, these silk interiors are specially outfitted and woven, much like a fine Italian suit. Available in three color variants (Nero, Cuoio and Rosso), this tailored interior option is now available on the 2016 sport sedans and will later extend to the full Maserati range.
Fresh for 2016, Maserati also introduces new enhanced safety and convenience features to its expanded range of sedans such as Start & Stop System, Blind Spot & Rear Cross Path Alert, Power Trunk Lid/Hands Free feature, premium Harman Kardon 900 watt audio system, Clari-Fi on Bowers & Wilkins sound system, SIRI Smart Personal Assistant and a new wheel collection.
Maserati continues to offer its range topping, GranTurismo coupe and convertible models – the ultimate expression of Maserati's design ethos that deliver the purest of driving pleasure. The GranTurismo MC features an exceptional degree of personalization for clientele to pair with its vigorous naturally aspirated V8 engine and signature drive.
"Following our long term investment in the Canadian marketplace, we had a strong calendar year in 2015 with significant gains in Canada. We have solid dealer partners in place that are equally as committed to helping us achieve our goals and are confident that closer proximity to our clientele will contribute to the Company's continued success," comments Christian Gobber, President & CEO of Maserati Canada Inc. and Maserati North America, Inc.
The company has appointed Richard Trevisan as Head of Maserati Canada Inc. to execute the brand's growth strategy across the region. Trevisan brings with him over 20 years of diversified global experience in the automotive industry. "We have a firm commitment to our customer base and dealer body throughout Canada. As the demand for luxury automobiles continues to expand across Canada, Maserati wanted to be on the forefront of that evolution, particularly as we await further additions to our dynamic and diversifying product portfolio," states Trevisan.
