Milltek Sport gives BMW’s new M2 even more attitude

Milltek Sport has become one of the first to launch an enhanced high performance exhaust system for BMW’s exciting M2 Coupé, unlocking even more potential from the new baby M car.

As first customer deliveries of the new M2 take place this summer, the latest Milltek Sport system allows enthusiasts to give their potent new coupé even more attitude, enhancing the soundtrack and performance offering of the much-anticipated new model.

Following the announcement that the latest M2 will be the final full bore M car with a pure internal combustion engine, Milltek Sport’s enhanced exhaust system allows owners to experience its 454bhp turbocharged inline six-cylinder powerplant in all its glory, unleashing the car’s full potential.

The Milltek Sport BMW M2 exhaust range will also be popular thanks to its revised design, with a smaller rear silencer and GT115 exhaust tips creating an elegant new appearance at the tail.

The new M2 Centre Resonator back system is available to order from all Milltek Sport dealers now, with the option to specify the company’s bespoke Active Valve Control system (AVC). Vehicles equipped with AVC allow total control of the exhaust at the driver’s fingertips via full CAN BUS integration, enabling enthusiasts to open and close the exhaust valves and control the engine note at the touch of a button.

Design and development work has been carried out in the UK at the company’s state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility, beginning with a full 3D scan of the factory system to identify potential areas of enhancement. Following a comprehensive review of the OE item, Milltek Sport engineers have enhanced the performance and responsiveness of the new M2.

Priced from £2,628 for an axle back system with polished stainless steel tips, the new Milltek Sport M2 exhaust system has already been fitted to the tuner demo vehicles of AUTOID and R44 Performance, just in time for appearances at upcoming events including Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company is also in the process of securing ECE Approval for the full G87 M2 range.

As with other premium Milltek Sport exhausts, customers can select their preferred exhaust tip finish, with a choice of polished stainless, cerakote satin black, brushed titanium, burnt/blue titanium, and carbon fibre.
