Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is offering exciting activities at its resorts in Asia that focus on fun, creativity and learning that cross the generational divide.

The pioneering resort group is putting the fun firmly into family travel as it identifies multi-generation families as a key travelling demographic in Asia with grandparents, parents and children all packing their bags and heading off together.

The award-winning Swiss hospitality company's Asian hotels have created programmes that provide a precious balance between "us time" for Mums, Dads and Grandparents and "our time" as families play together and stay together at hotels in Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and China.

"Families have always been one of the key drivers of our business and as we have grown in Asia we have noticed that large multi-generational groups love to travel together," said Andrew Langdon, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Senior Vice President Asia.

"This is a unique characteristic in Asia and a central reason why we have developed the Fam-tastic programmes with suitable room configurations, healthy meals, creative fun and learning activities for all ages."

Highlights include creative arts and dance activities in Thailand and the Philippines, a kids corner at the weekend brunch at Chef's Theatre restaurant in China and a chance to play hotelier in Vietnam.

One programme at the Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi even turns the tables on adult guests as kids can sign up to 'play hotelier for a day' and check guests in and roll out their sleeves and work in the kitchen.

At Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach in Phuket, activities include candle making and face painting, while kids at Mövenpick Resort Bangtao Beach Phuket get the chance to be a Mini Chef, and learn key kitchen essentials like how to make pizza dough.

The fun continues at Mövenpick Siam Hotel Pattaya with kayaking, beach volleyball, water cycling and special entry to Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark, with fast-lane access, a 15% discount off F&B and retail merchandise, a free park gift bag and free transfers to and from the park. At Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok kids get front row seats to weekly night of movies with popcorn.

Bracelet and necklace making, figurine painting, paper crafts and a dance workshop are of offer at Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu, while children can enjoy the Chef's Theatre Restaurant play area at Mövenpick Hotel Enshi China during Weekend Brunch.

When it comes to "our time" for the adults, Mövenpick resorts offer an engaging choice of destination dining experiences, dynamic bar concepts with creative cocktails, as well as indulgent spa treatments to melt away stress and help heal the body and mind.

As an added service, all hotels and resorts have a well supervised complimentary kids club for children.
