The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro is showing off their patriotism with the launch of their new "OHHHHH CANADA" promotion which launches June 26th and will showcase three "Canadian-inspired" burgers, an appetizer & shake, all featuring the unique flavours of this great country.
In celebration of this monumental year, The WORKS held an internal "Masterchef-style" cooking competition where dozens and dozens of burger creations were developed by their Canadian crew. Winning the competition was The WORKS Pickering with the development of "The Tragically Maple" burger ($17.36), which has a juicy 8 oz Canadian beef patty featuring Canada's favourite condiment…maple…including thick-cut maple bacon, house-made maple bacon jam, bacon sticks, Canadian cheese curds, arugula and maple garlic aioli.
The second burger feature, "Schmoke & a Burger" ($17.36) will take guests on a trip to Montreal, where a ½ lb Canadian beef patty gets topped with Montreal-style smoked meat, Swiss cheese, house-made Dijon coleslaw and hand-breaded crispy pickle strings. Rounding out the Canadian line-up is "Elk on a Beech" ($17.36), featuring a lean Canadian Elk patty and is topped with avocado, The WORKS signature Beechhouse sauce, sundried tomatoes & feta cheese. Plus with every purchase of this burger, The WORKS will donate a portion of the proceeds to charities in each of the communities we serve such as local community food banks, hospitals, shelters, etc…
And what's more Canadian than poutine? Serve up one of the Canadian-inspired burgers with the "Take Our Curd For It" appetizer ($11.83) which are mini poutine bites featuring battered cheese curds tossed in a smoked garlic seasoning on a bed of WORKS bacon sticks with gravy or marinara for dipping. All complemented with an ice-cold Canadian beer like Moosehead or the new "Even S'more to Love Shake" ($6.93) which will take you back to cooking s'mores over an open fire on a Canadian summer camping trip with ice-cream blended with Nutella and topped with graham, marshmallows & even more Nutella.
"As a Canadian company, we just love the passion that both our guests and crew have for this great country. With the launch of the OHHHHH CANADA promotion, we wanted to bring this passion and these wonderful flavours to life and pay tribute to Canada's rich culinary heritage," said Bruce Miller, President & CEO of The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro. "Plus we are honoured to donate funds to the local charities that are most important to the crew & guests in each of the communities in which we serve."
The WORKS "Canadian" Burgers will be available in all restaurants for a limited time only, from June 26 – October 1, 2017.
