These Luxury Cruise Lines Are Offering Staycations For The Summer

Some of the best luxury cruise lines in the world have come up with an innovative type of holiday for the summer. Since most international travel has ground to a halt, cruise lovers are now about to be treated to cruises-to-nowhere, now rebranded as the new staycation. This is hardly a new concept, since cruises-to-nowhere have been around for a long time, but they were outlawed a few years ago due to issues with staff visas. Moreover, laws prohibit foreign ships from transporting people between domestic docks, which is why this type of cruise hasn't been offered since 2016. But now, staycation cruises are back, and they're bigger and better than ever. With packages and activities designed to pamper guests, this type of getaway is sure to become a hit amongst holidaymakers, and is expected to become a trend all over the world. Here are the luxury cruise lines offering staycations for the summer.

Cunard and P&O Cruises

It's a lot simpler to prepare for a luxury staycation cruise than a regular cruise, since you'll be staying in local waters with no ports of call. If you live in the area where the cruise is being offered, there's no need to bring a passport or other documentation. All you need is a bag filled with a few stylish summer outfits, such as linen pants, bandeaus, bikinis, and of course, a comfy robe for spa treatments, and you're all good to go.

If you live in the UK, then book a staycation cruise with Cunard or P&O Cruises. The former is the operator of luxury cruise ships such as the Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and Queen Mary 2. Cunard will be offering UK voyages on the Queen Elizabeth, which will start from their home port in Southampton and will stay in UK waters. Meanwhile, P&O is offering their ultimate escape staycation cruise, which is set to go on sale later in March. Cruises will also start in Southampton, and more details on dates, prices, and experiences on board will be announced this month.

Genting Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean International

Those who are in Singapore can experience a luxurious getaway by booking a staycation cruise with Genting Cruise Lines or the Royal Caribbean International. Both cruise lines were given the green light to offer cruises-to-nowhere last year, and demand for these cruises has been rising from first-timers to repeat customers. Moreover, both cruise lines are extending their sailing season until June 2021, so there's plenty of time to enjoy the seas while being pampered aboard their respective ships.

Journese

In the US, cruise enthusiasts can have an amazing weekend by going on a luxury cruise by Journese. The company, which offers ocean and river cruises, will be offering staycation cruising in Alaska, Hawaii, and the Great Lakes. Take part in water adventures and amazing spa treatments during your holiday across US waters for the 2021 summer season.

Luxury domestic cruising is about to become the hottest travel trend of the year. Check out these indulgent cruises, and have an amazing getaway this summer.
