A beautiful, luscious island, Île St-Honorat is full of hidden sandy beaches and forest groves and is also home to a working monastery, l'Abbaye de Lérins. This magnificent building surrounded by palm trees, luscious gardens and vineyards is the perfect sanctuary. Whilst only 20 minutes away from Cannes, the island feels light-years away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The eight hectares of vineyard on Île St-Honorat are cultivated by the monks of the l'Abbaye de Lérins and they have been producing their own wine for centuries. Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel & Spa offers 20 minute private boat transfers from the Marina of La Figueirette, only a short distance from the hotel, straight across to the island. This is complete with a picnic hamper full of local delicacies to be enjoyed on the island. Guests will have the chance to discover this unique island and relish wines that have been created from the best grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Mourvèdre, to produce some of the country’s finest vintage wines; St Salonius, St Lambert and St.Césaire. This can be followed by a relaxed lunch as ‘Les Canisses’ Snack Bar, where the wine is the ideal accompaniment to a light French dish. The island is also perfect for a serene stroll along the many marked trails to one of the shaded picnic areas that dot the islands rugged landscape. 

Discover the rich history of Île Ste-Marguerite

Only located a few minutes from Cannes, lies the bigger island of the two, Île Ste-Marguerite. As soon as guests disembark, they will be captivated by the fragrance of the eucalyptus and pine trees. The island is rich in culture and activities, with many marked historical and botanical trails. Discover the Batéguier pond, full of wildlife and the magnificent Fort Royal is not to be missed. The 17th Century prison is steeped in history, allowing guests to learn more about the former residence and mysterious prisoner, the Man in the Iron Mask!
