On June 1st 2023, Zitya officially opened its doors for the summer season of 2023. Situated a short drive from Ibiza Town on the way to Saint Josep, this Patio- Bar-Finca, designed by PINTO, serves a blend of Mediterranean and Aegean cuisine. The venue  offers  a  total  of  120  covers,  thoughtfully  arranged  across  a  harmonious  fusion  of indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests can enjoy the inviting Patio area, the vibrant outdoor Bar & Lounge area, and the cosy traditional Finca setup indoors.

The restaurant’s name comes from a tree found on the Greek island of Rhodes, in the idyllic valley of butterflies. The Zitya tree provides shade to its visitors and makes for the perfect camouflage for the butterflies. It produces a sweet substance that attracts thousands of nocturnal butterflies, creating spectacular visual patterns. Zitya draws its inspiration from the region’s enchanting nature and nostalgia, and the magnetic energy that binds both islands, Rhodes and Ibiza.

 

The Spirit of Ibiza

Founded and curated by Lebanese-born, London-based hospitality entrepreneur Omar Abdel Khalek, Zitya is a novel concept that has taken over the once- iconic venue Naif, the legendary nineties hangout of wild abandon frequented by the likes of Mick Jagger, Elle Macpherson and Kate Moss. Today, under his management, and in collaboration with globally-renowned, Parisian-based interior design studio PINTO, the venue was transformed and reimagined while remaining true to its nostalgic authenticity.

The Taste of Zitya

A  culinary  journey  through  Aegean  Cuisine.  Communal,  sensorial,  and  aromatic.  The easy-to-share  menu,  created  by  Executive  Chef  Timothy  Newton,  is  a  magical  blend  of Mediterranean flavours that captures the essence of the Aegean Sea region, weaving together  the  culinary  traditions  of  Greece  and  Turkey.  With  a  focus  on  locally-sourced fresh ingredients, the cuisine is truly a feast for the senses. The Patio

With 120 covers, the patio gives the enchanting feeling of being in a garden that has been growing naturally for decades; the feeling of true escape from all the hustle and bustle of the lively island.

The Bar & Lounge

An adjacent outdoor Bar & Lounge offering a laid back, whimsical vibe to start a night early. With specially curated cocktails and a unique menu of bites, this space welcomes up to 60 guests, and starts from 19:00 all through sunset. Guests can enjoy acoustic music from the alternative Mediterranean scene; a diverse mix of Spanish, Balearic, Greek, and Arab artists who blend traditional Gypsy music.

The Finca

The property’s candlelit indoor bar and dining area holds up to 80 people, and comes alive from 23:00 with classic hits  and funky tunes, drawing inspiration from the nature and nostalgia of the region. This rustic yet sensual, cosy area makes it a first-of-its- kind destination on the island, offering a separate indoor space within the restaurant for guests to enjoy a drink  after dinner. For private events - Designed as a dedicated private dining and events space, the whimsical tapestries, bold colours, ornate furniture and eclectic art make it a place of pure passion and excitement.
