Rare Royal Golden Carriage Released from Museum for a Once in a Lifetime Drive

On Saturday, February 4th2017 at 3:00 pm, the one of a kind Armbruster Full State Carriage, fully restored to its original elegance, will be put to six pure bred Spanish horses for a singular driving event. This one of a kind carriage, now owned by Gloria Austin, was once the property of Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria. The carriage will be driven by Prince Phillip's coachman (ret.) David E. Saunders around the majestic oak canopies of The Grand Oaks Resort and Museum at 3000 Marion County Road, in beautiful Weirsdale Florida. The Countess De Grunne, heir of Franz Joseph has accepted Gloria Austin's, invitation to ride in the carriage for this historic event.

Attendees will also have access to more than 160 horse-drawn carriages, scenic ponds, and serene courtyards – there will be endless photographic opportunities at the horsing of this authentic, beautifully restored carriage of the Austrian Empire.  Whether you are an amateur or seasoned professional photographer, here is a great opportunity to join carriage enthusiast from around the world to view this spectacular sight.  The drive will be the culmination of the Carriage Association of America's three day event, which will feature a unique carriage driven each afternoon at 3 pm. The Golden carriage will be horsed on Saturday afternoon for the public to see and experience a royal carriage as it is parade walked around the beautiful lakes on the ground of the exceptional equine resort and museum full of carriages from the United States and Europe.

This upcoming gala event will be held on February 2-4, 2017 at the Grand Oaks Resort and Museum, conveniently located minutes from The Villages in Lady Lake, Florida.
