Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville invites you to their redesigned Matisse Restaurant & Bar

Bon Appetite! Get a taste of the world's most delectable culinary trends without leaving the city at the recently redesigned Matisse Restaurant & Bar and newly unveiled "Greatroom" at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel. Globally inspired cuisine using fresh local ingredients and an artistic approach to food preparation is what Executive Chef Michael Picken—previously at the world-renowned Gleneagles Hotel—brings to the table.

The innovative new Nosh menu features small sharable nibbles such as grilled cheese toasties with sriracha and crisp apple, parmesan cheese lavash with beet hummus olive oil and fig balsamic, or sample the jumbo shrimp with garlic and herb butter served with baguette to soak up the flavourful juices. Travel the world with your tastebuds as you hop from one sumptuous dish to the next: Succulent Pan Seared Mahi Mahi reimagined in a fresh turmeric & lime broth; Savoury Vegetable Korma bathed in rich South Asian flavours like cardamom, coconut and toasted almond; and our Pacific Coast-Inspired Grilled Atlantic Salmon steeped in fresh flavours like coriander, green onion and edamame complimented by a soy ginger dressing. Experience a culinary getaway within your getaway or travels.

And be sure to make time to relax and enjoy a little nightcap! Cheers to the good life with a local craft beer on tap or sip on the hotel's signature Bourbon 'smoked infused' Old Fashioned, featured in the just-launched Marriott Bourbon Program and mixed by one of Matisse's expertly trained bartenders.  Regular live entertainment will be on the roster along with signature events curated for the selective tastes of Marriott guests.

Matisse's intimate layout incorporates a warm contemporary design, plush lounge style seating with Henri Matisse artwork highlighted throughout the space. An elegant private dining room is available for group events. Its expansive interior is dominated by a sleek transformed lobby bar situated outside the restaurant doors and designed to inspire an upbeat and social atmosphere. Marriott is proud to be "connected"- with free WiFi, USB and electrical outlets built within the lounge furniture. Marriott's goal is to create an environment where guests can disconnect, even if for a short time, and leisurely enjoy the presentation and flavours of their meals, while taking in the exquisite surroundings without interruption.
